Aliens likely to be huge scary monsters rather than cute little ETs, claims space scientist
If we ever manage to find extraterrestrials, they could be the size of a polar bear and even more terrifying
Aliens are likely to be huge and terrifying rather than cute and cuddly, scientists have claimed.
Experts have concluded that the creatures living in far away galaxies could weigh more than 300kg – the size of a polar bear.
It’s little wonder scientists think contacting these plus-sized extraterrestrials is a VERY risky idea.
Fergus Simpson, a space scientist at the University of Barcelona, has used mathematical formulas to predict the size of extra-terrestrials.
His nightmarish research concludes that human are likely to be significantly smaller than members of other advanced alien civilisations.
“Most species are expected to exceed 300kg in body mass,” he wrote. “Si

On Earth, there are many more small lifeforms than large ones. Simpson suggested this might not be the case on the planets humans are likely to discover.
We are currently looking for extraterrestrials by scanning the sky for the radio signals they might be beaming out and searching for the tell-tale markers which indicate a planet could support life.
Huge planets with large civilisations are much easier to discover, as they pump out more signals and are easier for humans to spot.
However, Simpson’s calculations suggest these planets are likely to be very, very far away.
We’ll have to wait a long time to see if aliens are gentle giants or fanged beasts with a taste for human blood.
