‘Alien: Covenant’ Teases Christmas Day Trailer Terror (Video)
“Alien: Covenant” is gifting fans of the sci-fi horror franchise with the first trailer on Christmas Day, and released a 15-second teaser on Saturday.
It’s nothing much to look at, but the sound design should get viewers in the mood for a scary glimpse at another deep space nightmare hitting theaters on on May 19.
“Covenant,” a sequel to “Alien” prequel “Prometheus,” starts Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride and Carmen Ejogo.
The short teaser follows an image 20th Century Fox released on Friday of Fassbender as an android, who will play a major part in the movie. According to IMDb, the film follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant, who discover what they think is an uncharted paradise — too bad it is actually a dark, dangerous world, whose sole inhabitant is the synthetic David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
